Head Baseball Coach
Zach Maddox attended Jersey Village High School where he lettered in football and baseball. He had the privilege of playing baseball for his father, Michel Maddox, who was inducted into the THSBCA Hall of Fame in 2018 after a 32-year career. Coach Maddox attended Blinn Junior College and graduated from Sam Houston State University with a degree in history. Coach Maddox started his career at Alief Taylor High School in 2014, and spent the last 6 years at Tompkins High School serving as the Inside Linebackers Football Coach and Varsity Baseball Assistant. As an Assistant, Coach Maddox helped Tompkins reach the playoffs in 4 consecutive years. He brings his long-lived passion for coaching each day to the field, encouraging his players to strive to be their best. He continues to honor his father’s legacy by instilling the tools and skills student athletes need to become exceptional individuals in their community. Coach Maddox and his wife Jennifer were married in June of 2019. They live in Katy, TX with their dog Morgan.
